The RADneck Story

Jay Cox — better known as The RADneck — is a redneck gypsy from South Mississippi who spent much of his childhood moving around the South. Later, life carried him all the way to Idaho, where he got a little cultured… but thankfully, not enough to ruin him.

A blue-collar problem solver by day and entertainer by nature, Jay combines stand-up comedy, Southern storytelling, original songs, parodies, and more than three decades of guitar-picking into a show that’s never quite the same twice. His comedy comes from real life: family, marriage, work, growing older, growing up Southern, and the everyday foolishness that makes you either laugh or lose your mind.

Armed with a guitar, a big beard, a radio voice, and plenty of Southern charm, The RADneck knows how to work a crowd and make people feel like they’re hanging out with the funniest guy at the cookout. Whether he’s telling stories, singing something ridiculous, or turning life’s aggravations into a song, his goal is simple: give people a good time and leave them laughing.

He’s not exactly a redneck. He’s a RADneck — cuz he’s cool.
